The Amsterdam sunshine has fanned our fire big time!A couple of weeks ago, one of our most proactive users tweeted: "@casengo popup: true Have you got a list of updates made to app the last few months?" We are happy to announce, @parcye popup: true(and all of our lovely users), that we do.

Feature Release Summary: July 2013

  • Super labelling: adding labels to specific mailboxes and/or chat buttons

This feature, deployed earlier this Summer, is of particular interest to users with multiple mailboxes. We call it 'automated super labelling' (or tagging). Previously, you couldn't tell via which email address a case had landed in your Casengo inbox. Now you can! Go to 'Admin Site' > 'Channels' and click on the label icon (to the right of the mailbox you'd like to label). But of course you can assign any tag to identify what's important to you, which makes this feature really powerful.casengo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/image_7v-3.jpg

You can also label specific chat buttons, which is great for users with multiple chat buttons. Go to 'Admin Site' > 'Channels' > 'Add contact widget'. Then check the 'Show advanced settings' box and take it away! (If you'd like to label an existing chat button, you'll have to go through these steps again in order to generate a new script which you can then insert into your website.) casengo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/super-labelling-chat-.png

  • Inviting co-workers: getting help with a complicated case

This one isn't new, really, but we'd given this feature such a general name - 'Invite' - that nobody knew about it. It's now called 'Invite co-workers', and you can find it in the Agent App after clicking on a case, to the left of the 'Resolve & Close' button. It's one of the 'Actions' - and a very popular one since we renamed it! It allows you to send an entire case plus an internal comment to any co-worker. (Not necessarily a colleague, and not even necessarily a Casengo user.) casengo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/invite-coworkers.png

  • Starring macros: marking specific macros as your personal favourite(s)

Previously, all macros were displayed based on how often they were used by all agents. Now you can mark the macros you personally use most frequently with a golden star. They will be saved in 'My favourites', next to 'Most used'. Starry times! casengo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/macros1.png

  • Adding attachments: your online visitor can now also send files while chatting

This one is for all Casengo users with a chat button on their website. Or even better: it's for their online visitors, who can now add attachments to the chat conversation.casengo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/attachments-chat.png

  • Google Analytics: keeping track of your chat button's popularity

Quite a few of our users would love to track and trace everything around (and within) them if they could. They'll be happy to know they can now find out via Google Analytics how many times their chat button is being displayed, and how often their visitors click on it. Coming up soon... a whole lot more!
